Microsoft has announced that there will be changes to their Microsoft 365 prices, which will come into effect from 1 March 2022.
The updates to the commercial pricing of M365 intend to reflect the value Microsoft has added to 365 over the last 10 years.
Microsoft has delivered innovation in communications and collaboration, security and compliance, and AI and automation. As well as this, 25 new apps and over 1400 new features have been added to the M365 system since it was released.
Some of the key features introduced were Microsoft Teams, Data Loss Prevention, and Artificial Intelligence features. All of these have played a key role in assisting organisations.
For Microsoft customers, this means there will be an increase in Microsoft 365 prices. Prices will increase for the following licenses:
- Microsoft 365 Business Basic
- Microsoft 365 Business Premium
- Microsoft 365 E3
- Office 365 E5
- Office 365 E3
- Office 365 E1
These increases will apply globally, however there are no increases in the Microsoft 365 prices for education and consumer products at this time.
As the prices change for 2022, Microsoft continue to adapt and add new important features within their applications. Microsoft Teams has been heavily relied on over the past 20 months. Microsoft have announced that they are extending audio capabilities within Teams.
“We are announcing that we will add unlimited dial-in capabilities for Microsoft Teams meetings across our enterprise, business, frontline, and government suites over the next few months.
“Even as cloud connectivity increases, we know that people join Teams meetings while they are on the go or struggling with a bad internet connection.”
