We are coming to the start of our sixth week in ‘lockdown’ here in the UK. There has been some drastic lifestyle changes, schools are shut, gyms are closed and people are being asked to travel only when essential. This also means that where possible, people are working from home. Here at Tecnica, we are following the Government guidelines and have requested our staff to work from home. This is for their safety and the safety of those around them. Many of our clients have done the same.
It can often be a major concern for businesses how successful the transition from office working to remote working will be. However, with guidance and help from the Tecnica team all of our clients have successfully and seamlessly made this transition while continuing to focus on their daily business without disruption despite the lack of planning and preparation time as a result of the lockdown instruction.
During the first part of the outbreak, our primary concern was to ensure all of our clients had the ability to securely work from home.
This can be quite a stressful time for businesses and employees as many of them have never worked from home before and were unsure how they are going to be able to access all business operational requirements and function fully. We made it a priority to inform all of our clients and their employees how they can access all of their documents securely. Tecnica are well positioned to deliver all our IT managed and support services as normal and our clients continue to be fully supported with no disruptions to planned projects.
There has been little to no impact to any of our planned projects, they have/ will be going ahead as routine. We keep our clients updated with all progress we make every step of the way.
It is very common for businesses to be concerned about their cyber security as we are entering uncharted times. Many have only worked from an office environment and are unsure how secure their data will be with their employees being able to access their files at home.
Our highly skilled IT Professionals implement security measures in the remote access solutions we provide. This being only one of many priority requirements when setting up remote access for clients as cyber criminal attacks are especially convincing for remote workers who can easily fall victim. Tecnica professionals continue to monitor all systems to ensure they are operating effectively, highlighting and alerting where necessary. Although it is common during times of mass panic for there to be an increase in cyber threats, organisations must remain resilient and this is what we provide for our clients to ensure they are protected.
